Who We Are
About Us
Metro Theatre is a vibrant community theatre in the heart of Vancouver’s Marpole neighbourhood dedicated to producing high-quality comedies, mysteries, and musicals. Founded in 1963 by a collective of local theatre groups, Metro continues to delight audiences with our playful takes on beloved classics and a focus on entertainment, professional development, and craft.
Metro has been the launching point for many artists who have gone on to successful careers in theatre, film, and television. Today, Metro is sustained by its staff, a committed board of directors, and an incredible group of volunteers who handle everything from costume design to concession. Their dedication is the backbone of our theatre, and the reason it has survived and thrived for over 60 years.
