One of Agatha Christie’s darkest tales, its growing sense of dread and unfaltering tension will keep you guessing to the very end. Ten strangers are summoned to a remote island, each marked for murder. As the weather turns and the group is cut off from the mainland, the bloodbath begins. Our production of The Mousetrap was a huge hit last season and we expect this thrilling play to be every bit as popular!

The Cast of Characters

Roger Monk - Rogers
Last year we welcomed many to our theatre to see The Mousetrap. I am honored to have been asked to return this year to play a role in another famous Christie play. Live performance is in my blood; however, the title of this play seems to indicate the opposite.

Emma Greenhalgh – Mrs. Rogers
Emma started acting in the UK and studied with LAMDA and Guildhall school of Music. After a long hiatus, Emma jumped back on stage with Metro theatre in 2015 with There Goes the Bride. Since then she has been lucky enough to perform several times with Metro, United Players, Dramanatrix, Vagabond, Peninsula Productions and Pivot theatre.

Christopher Burkholder – Fred Narracott
Christopher would like to thank Don for the opportunity to get out of the office and play on the other side of the red curtain.

Adrian Shaffer – Vera Claythorne
Adrian (he/they) is a longtime mystery aficionado, having previously tackled Baskerville (asst. dir.), The Murder Room (Susan), and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (Siobhan). Other credits include Blue Prelude (Lila), and Blithe Spirit (dir.; Daphne VO). Outside of theatre, Adrian is a musician and writer.

Connor Hawkins – Philip Lombard
Hailing from Queensland, Australia, Connor has been involved in various award winning shows in notable leading roles. Credits include: Curly – Oklahoma! Lewis – COSI. Johnny Dowd – Summer of the Seventeenth Doll (Australian Tour), Hamlet – Hamlet (Australian Tour), Tinman/Hickory – The Wizard of Oz, Rob – Failure to Launch, Clyde Barrow – Bonnie and Clyde, and Samuel – Pirates of Penzance.

Atticus Cohen-Yelle – Anthony Marston
Atticus has pursued acting since a young age and has been involved in many forms of performance: dramatic stage theatre, Improvisation, comedy skits and short film He has been in multiple theatre productions in Victoria, including the Victoria Fringe Festival and Stampede Festival. He recently played Alphonse Labelle in Scorched at New Image College.

Daryl Hutchings – William Blore
Daryl is delighted to be returning again to the Metro stage for this quintessential whodunit mystery. He hopes you enjoy watching the show as much as he enjoyed working with this marvellous cast and crew in preparing it

Simon Ruddell – General MacKenzie
Simon has been appearing in Metro productions since the mid-1980s and is delighted to return as General MacKenzie for this production of And Then There Were None, having appeared as Philip Lombard on this stage in 1988. He last appeared at Metro as Dr. Morrissey in last year’s production of Send Me No Flowers.

Rosemary Schuster – Emily Brent
Rosemary has been with the White Rock Players Club for 20 years. She is active both on stage and behind the scenes. Behind the scenes, she can be found building mostly props.On stage she has been seen in Dead Man’s Cell Phone, 10 Little Indians, Harvey, and The Mouse Trap for Metro Theatre.

Peter Robbins – Sir Lawrence Redgrave
Peter last appeared at Metro as the Burglar in Noises Off, and the Reverend Jenkins in Under Milk Wood. Peter was also at JAC in The Bear, and before that as King Duncan in Cauldron. It’s great to be back at Metro, in a murder mystery with lots of corpses!

Robson Baker – Dr Armstrong
Robson studied theatre at Capilano and Queen’s Universities. He has performed in a variety of plays and musicals, including Trotsky in Variations on The Death of Trotsky with Pacific Theatre, and Constable in The Music Man with Theatre Under The Stars. Robson thanks Don and Taylor for the opportunity to work with this talented cast and crew.
The Production Team

Don Briard – Director
Don is a familiar figure to Metro audiences as a director, actor and designer. His last production was also an Agatha Christie—Mousetrap the opening show of the 2023-24 season. His journey into theatre started in the spring of 1963 as a munchkin in the Wizard of Oz and he’s been at it ever since.

Taylor Marples – Stage Manager
Taylor is a Burnaby based stage manager and actor. When she is not herding cats backstage, she can be found on top of a mountain, on the beach, or in bed with her cat. Taylor would like to thank her cat for his unending patience during these long nights.

Cheryl Minns – Assistant Stage Manager
Cheryl is delighted to join Metro Theatre for another Agatha Christie mystery after assistant stage managing The Mousetrap in 2023. She has experience in costumes, props, set decor, and stage management, as well as acting in Our Town (Vagabond Players, 2023) and Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery (Stage 43, 2025).

Glenn MacDonald – Set Designer
Glenn trained in all aspects of the theatre at the Manitoba Theatre Centre under John Hirsch’s tenure in the 60’s. He is the recipient of the 2017 Jesse Richardson Award for Outstanding Set Design for the production of Annapurna. He also works in television and film in set decoration and has over 100 projects to his credit.

Keith S Woods – Lighting Designer
After quitting college to go on the road with a rock band—the modern-age version of joining the circus(?)—and spending many decades providing lighting for film characters as diverse as Pepe the King Prawn, Buddy the Elf, and the Merc with a Mouth, Keith is happy to be given the opportunity to return to theatre where it all started so many years ago.

Arya Shu – Costume Designer
With a background in cross-border fashion and digital media, Arya Shu brings expertise in clothing styles, color theory, and historical fashion. Studying at Emily Carr, she blends design knowledge with hands-on experience. Passionate about 19th-century British period fashion, she creates costumes that enhance storytelling and visual aesthetics.

Katie Voth – Properties
A lover of all things handmade, Katie is the props coordinator for And Then There Were None. Passionate about making ideas come to life through craftsmanship, she is excited to use her skills to enhance this production. She is currently studying engineering at Langara.

Krista Kienapfel – Board Operator
Krista is a local polymath who’s been coming here since they were 16. The Metro is a stage to so many amazing productions and it’s an honour to be a part of that magic.
