Robin Hood: 20–35. Some singing and dancing; upper class English accent
Little John: 25–50 . No singing or dancing required.
Alan Adale and King Richard the Lion –Hearted: 20-45 – singing, dancing,
Will Scarlett: Lower class English accent – singing and dancing.
Friar Tuck: 4o –60 – some singing and dancing
Demon and Sherriff of Nottingham: duo role – 25-45 – no singing or dancing
Elderly peasant: 40-70 – a little singing and dancing -lower class accent
Castle guards: singing, dancing, chorus work
Cookie, Castle cook – the Dame: singing and dancing required – duet with Snifty
Snifty- Cookie’s sister – Dame: – duet with Cookie
Lady Marion: 18- 35 – upper class English accent; singing and dancing.
Good Fairy: 20-65 – good diction as she speak in rhyme. No singing or dancing required.
Lady Beatrice: servant and friend of L. Marion – lower class English accent – singing and dancing.
Lady Elizabeth, Lady Mary, Lady Edith, and Ladies Meridee and Meridith: ladies of the court – accents preferable; singing and dancing.
Villagers – Agnes, Emily and Margaret: lower class Eng. Accent – singing and dancing.
Elderly peasant: 45- 70 – no singing or dancing required. Lower class Eng. Accent
Servants and peasants both in Nottingham and the castle.
Children – besides roles listed below, chorus work- singing and dancing
Red Riding Hood: age 5-to-9
Goldilocks: age 8-to-12
Gretel: age 7-to-10
Hansel: boy age 8-to-12
Minion: boy or girl ages 5-to-8; No singing or dancing required.
Requirements: Please bring a (short) musical selection and dancing shoes (character, tap, ballet). Auditions will be cold readings from the script; the director will choose which scenes the group will read.
Notes: This is a NON-EQUITY production. People will be seen on a first come/first served basis, but be prepared that you may have to sit around and wait as you may be needed to read opposite someone else who is auditioning.

Private bookings may occur on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays, for each performance week, with no more than one private booking per week. Please keep these days free to perform.
REHEARSALS begin SEPTEMBER soon after casting and continue until Opening Night. If you are cast, you will be required to become a Member of Metro Theatre and your 12-month Membership Fee of $20 will be collected at the first read-through.
